Book 1 can be a bit slow, as we build up to the world of the Intuitives and every fight Lexi is preparing to fight.

The Lies We Tell starts Lexi's journey into self discovery as a slow-burn FWB situationship after having her heart broken by the only boy she's every loved. In her quest to discover who she is after her mother's sudden disappearance, Lexi is faced with the reality that everything she knows about herself is a lie. There is chaos, pain, heartbreak, trauma, and more that develops as each book continues. Though the series does end in a HEA, it takes a lot of work to get there. The OG MMC in this series does not remain in her life as a love interest. The reality that some people are not good for us, as many of us have faced, is a lesson she must learn.
